All Public Meetings Suspended Until Further Notice

HTA Press Release

After much evaluation and consideration, in collaboration with our stakeholder partners, the Harbor Trucking Association has decided to indefinitely postpone any public meetings due to the impacts of COVID-19.

California Department of Industrial Relations – Employers FAQ (PDF)

While we would like to forge through these tough times and continue to conduct business as usual, the health and safety of our members and the broader stakeholder community are our top priority. Given recent developments, in conjunction with guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization, the only responsible action is to invoke a temporary hiatus from convening large gatherings. We are working on contingency plans to continue to provide crucial information to our membership and convene our stakeholders through alternative platforms, such as digital/web calls, in an effort to keep our issues front and center without jeopardizing the health and safety of any individuals.

The following meetings are canceled, and we will continue to monitor this situation until we can safely reconvene the in-person meetings we know our industry both look forward to and depend on.

  • HTA Oakland Meeting – March 16
  • HTA PNW Meeting – March 18
  • HTA SoCal Meeting – March 25

Thank you for understanding this difficult, yet necessary, decision. It was not made lightly and there was a lot of factors that were taken into consideration.
